Atiku's son in child custody mess

Aminu Atiku Abubaker, son of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was on Thursday remanded in transit cell for disobeying a court order to produce his six-year old son in court.

Aminu, was alleged to have disobeyed an order made by Chief Magistrate Kikelomo Ayeye on October 11, over the custody of the boy, who was alleged  to have been taken away from the custody of his ex-wife, Fatimo Bolori.

Atiku was however released when he fulfilled the court order. Consequently, Magistrate Ayeye ordered that  the two children, aged eight and six be in their mother`s custody for ten days  pending when a permanent living arrangement would be made. The case has been adjourned till November 1 for further hearing.
