Gov. Rochas Okorocha shocks his people!
By Maureen Mennor Nwaezeigwe

Not a few people both within and outside of Imo state have expressed great shock over the unveiling of the statue of Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa; by Rochas Okorocha, the Governor of Imo State.
Apart from honouring Zuma with the statue, the Governor conferred on him two awards: the Imo Merit Award and a chieftency title (Ochiagha di oha mma of Igbo land)'' the peoples'warlord'', and named a street after the South African President.
Many who took to social media are enraged that Okorocha is honouring the President whose people of South Africa have continued to kill Nigerians, especially Igbos. A President who is currently facing a running battle in his political party, the African National Congress (ANC) back home over allegations of corruption and abuse of office.
The ceremony which took place in Owerri the Imo State capital had former President Olusegun Obasanjo in attendance.
