A NEW YEAR

2022!!!
The excitement with which the new year is ushered in is ecstatic. I think almost everyone world over feels this way, although some prefer to be sober and alone, yet others couldn't be bothered; overwhelmed by pain and lack of fulfillment, they see no reason to cheer.
Chants of happy New Year! hugs and kisses. Happy to be alive. Happy to be happy. Grateful to God for keeping and sustaining us for the past twelve months as we believe Him for the next twelve months.
But my! if everyone just continued to be that happy everyday for the next twelve months, if there would be no worries and troubles for the 365 days contained in 2022...but I guess that is just utopian. Or is it a possibility????????????
The holiday is still on, people still resting, partying, playing, eating etc...so much fun with friends, family and even strangers...while the holiday is still on.
New Year resolutions? Not for me, I make evaluations and life audits as I go along. Many who make resolutions do not even remember them by the third month of the new year.
Oh but I love the gift of time given to take a break, and start again." life's a marathon and not a sprint"- Philip C. McGraw. It is not an instant fast race, but it is a journey. This mentality allows for hope and its sustaining ability...you keep learning, you keep improving; while you retain your original self. Be yourself, yet improving the versions of you. Don't try to be who and what you were not created to be, the purpose for which you were created by the Almighty creators needs you to be the way you were originally made.
In 2022, as you try to catch up, be careful how you compare your life with others. Truth is, as insidious as that is; we all do sometimes. what were the mistakes made in 2021? How can they be avoided? How can you become more successful? How can you become happier? How can you become nicer?????????????? Emphasis on this last question, because we are not always nice(am also guilty). Be more humble...simply put, be a better person. It is often said that life begins at forty, but I think we have found out that that is not cast in stone.
A brand new page is opened to us, lets be carful how we write on it.
